Social Media Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist the social media team with daily coordination and project follow-ups.
• Translate content and updates between Japanese and English as needed.
• Support posting schedules and help keep calendars organized.
• Join meetings and help take notes or organize next steps.
• Review social trends and collect examples that could inspire new content.
• Keep tabs on what performs well online in Japan’s digital space.
• Help prepare internal social reports and updates.
• Work with teams across fashion, fragrance, beauty, and fine jewellery.
• Coordinate with outside agencies when needed.
• Stay organized with publishing tools and basic admin tasks like room bookings.
• Maintain accuracy across all shared content and updates.
• Assist with tracking performance of past campaigns.
• Keep the team looped in on platform changes or content gaps.
• Provide feedback or suggestions during brainstorming.
• Handle basic editing or writing support as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree or working toward one. A background in communication, digital media, business, or a similar field is preferred.

Experience

• No prior work experience is required, but internships or part-time roles in marketing, digital, or retail are a bonus.
• Any exposure to luxury fashion or media would stand out.

Skills

• Bilingual in Japanese (native level) and English (advanced level).
• Strong writing and speaking skills in both languages.
• Comfortable using social platforms and digital tools.
• Good sense of what makes content visually engaging.
• Reliable and organized, even with many moving parts.
• Open to feedback and eager to learn.

Knowledge

• Familiar with LINE and X (Twitter), and how audiences interact on them.
