Responsibilities

  • Show up at the lodging by 9:30 PM to get your instructions and room list.
  • Make sure students stay in their rooms or sleeping spots from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  • Walk around hallways, stairs, lobbies, and outside areas every 15 to 60 minutes.
  • Keep an eye out for any trouble, like kids wandering or odd noises.
  • Call the DoDEA contact right away if something’s wrong, like an emergency.
  • Help with evacuations or first aid if needed during the night.
  • Stay visible so students know someone’s watching out for them.
  • Fill out forms and reports on what happened during your shift.
  • Work the overnight hours quietly to let everyone rest.
  • Pitch in with setup or cleanup before or after events.
  • Follow all safety rules to keep the group secure.
  • Chat with students if they need reassurance or help.
  • Report back at 6:00 AM with a full update.
  • Adapt to different lodging spots for each event.
  • Keep a calm head no matter what comes up.
