Responsibilities

  • Pick out recyclable stuff from the conveyor belt as it rolls by.
  • Yank out any junk that could muck up the machines or the final product.
  • Eyeball materials and chuck them into the right bins by type, size, shape, or shade.
  • Yell out to the bosses straight away if something’s gone pear-shaped with the system.
  • Keep the sorting area clear and safe for everyone on shift.
  • Team up with mates to hit daily targets without slacking.
  • Spot dodgy items that don’t belong and bin them properly.
  • Help with basic checks to make sure the plant runs smooth.
  • Lend a hand during busy spells or breakdowns.
  • Stick to safety rules to avoid accidents on the job.
  • Report any weird finds or issues to keep things ticking over.
  • Pitch in for cleanup at the end of shifts.

Requirements

Education

No formal education needed. On-the-job training covers the basics.

Experience

No experience required, but 1-2 years in manual labor or sorting jobs is a bonus.
