Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, clothing, and other personal hygiene activities.
- Prepare basic meals and aid with feeding if necessary.
- Support client with walking and mobility needs.
Light housekeeping, including laundry and cleaning up rooms. - Keep track of medications and assist with reminders.
- Offer meaningful companionship and conversation.
Help client stay mentally and emotionally engaged. - Accompany to medical appointments or community outings if needed.
- Monitor health conditions and report any problems quickly.
- Follow routines and care guidelines put forth by family or experts.
- Maintain client’s comfort and respect at all times.
- Help with toileting and basic mobility transfers.
- Keep living space tidy and secure from risks.
- Respect privacy and treat all personal matters confidentially.
- Provide calm support during unexpected situations.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma preferred. Training in home care, CPR, or first aid is an advantage.
Experience
No formal experience required. Previous work in caregiving or home support is considered helpful.
