Dexter Construction is looking for laborers to join their Valley Division team based in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. This is a full-time role where you will be most of the day on drums, cleaning debris, digging trenches, and helping the crew work. This isn’t light work. If you work in all types of weather, stay on your feet and do such tasks that require some muscles; it can be a good fit. Safety is a great thing, so the following guidelines are part of the daily routine.

Responsibilities
- Carry materials to and from different areas on the site.
- Dig, rake, spread gravel or soil when needed.
- Help clear debris and make sure the site stays clean.
- Wash down tools and keep equipment in order.
- Follow directions from the Foreman and assist the crew.
- Stay alert to your surroundings safety comes first.
- Use proper gear like boots, vests, and hard hats at all times.
- Do other physical tasks as needed around the site.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
No specific education is required.
Experience
No experience needed, but construction site experience is helpful.
Skills
- Can handle physical work every day.
- Listen and follow directions well.
- Work well with a team.
- Stay focused on safety rules.
- Use tools and follow basic instructions.
Knowledge
- Understanding of what’s expected on a job site.
- Proper use of PPE (hard hat, steel-toe boots, etc.).
- Safe lifting techniques.
- How to work outdoors in different weather.
- Teamwork and communication.
