Cattle Ranch Labourer
Responsibilities
- Feed the cattle and make sure water is always available
- Walk through and check on livestock health
- Milk cows if needed and follow basic animal care routines
- Clean barns, pens, and stalls
- Use basic farm equipment (tractors, loaders, etc.)
- Help with fencing, minor repairs, and general upkeep
- Assist during calving season or other busy periods
- Keep tools and equipment clean and ready to use
- Report anything unusual to the ranch lead
- Follow safety guidelines and daily work routines
- Support others on the team as needed
- Adapt to changing tasks based on weather and season
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
No degree, diploma, or certificate needed
Experience
No experience required; training will be provided on-site
Skills
- Physically fit and okay with outdoor work
- Comfortable around animals
- Can follow instructions and complete tasks without constant supervision
- Reliable, on time, and ready to work each day
- Basic mechanical sense is helpful
- Open to learning and pitching in wherever needed
Knowledge
- Not required, but it helps to understand basic farm or ranch work
- Knowing how to use tools safely
- Some awareness of animal health or behavior
- Willingness to ask questions if unsure
- Familiarity with seasonal farm work is a plus
