Job Title

Auto Technician

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing following Nissan’s PMS guidelines.
• Inspect and repair drivetrains, engines, and powertrain components.
• Handle minor electrical work and fault tracing.
• Replace control modules like ECM, BCM, and TCM when needed.
• Reprogram modules using correct diagnostic tools.
• Keep work areas organized and follow 5S safety rules.
• Use special service tools (SSTs) correctly and maintain them.
• Communicate job issues and progress with supervisors clearly.
• Understand and interpret customers’ repair concerns accurately.
• Follow repair manuals and complete tasks per factory instructions.
• Write repair estimates based on diagnosis.
• Confirm work scope with supervisors before starting any job.
• Record tasks and parts used in job cards accurately.
• Adhere to the company’s quality, safety, and workshop policies.
• Participate in ongoing training when available.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

A diploma in automotive technology or an ITI certificate (regular program) is required.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dealership setup is preferred.
• New technicians with hands-on training will also be considered.

Skills

• Ability to read service manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Familiar with safety protocols and garage tools.
• Good at problem-solving and diagnosis.
