Responsibilities
- Sort non-ferrous metals, like aluminum or copper, for recycling.
- Operate small equipment, such as forklifts or skid steers, to move materials.
- Cut materials to size and package them for shipping.
- Clean and maintain the site, sweeping up or fueling equipment.
- Do pre-start checks on tools and gear to keep things running smoothly.
- Join daily safety meetings, like tailgates, to stay on top of risks.
- Shovel or lift heavy containers, up to 50 lbs, around the yard.
- Report equipment issues, like a faulty saw, to the repair shop.
- Work with the crew to meet daily goals in Martensville’s busy facility.
- Handle tough weather, from snow to summer heat, with grit.
