Cafe Assistant

Responsibilities

• Brew coffee and serve drinks with a smile to residents and guests.
• Prep and plate cabinet food or light meals to look appetizing.
• Take orders and handle payments accurately at the till.
• Keep the cafe clean, wiping counters and tables between customers.
• Help set up for village events or resident gatherings.
• Stock shelves with fresh supplies and check stock levels.
• Chat with regulars to make them feel at home.
• Work the roster shifts, like weekends from 10am to 2pm.
• Team up with the chef manager for smooth operations.
• Balance cash at the end of shifts and report takings.
• Greet visitors and point them to menu specials.
• Handle busy rushes without missing a beat.
• Follow food safety rules to keep everything fresh.
• Pitch in on extra catering tasks when needed.
• Keep a positive vibe to brighten folks’ days.

Requirements

Education

No formal education required.

Experience

Previous hospitality or cafe work preferred; will train enthusiastic starters.
