An opening is now available for an Industrial Cleaner / Bus Driver to join the Perdaman Project Team located in Karratha, Western Australia. This is a full-time, on-site position on a 20:8 day shift only roster. The role combines industrial cleaning duties with driving a 55-seater bus to support site operations, including airport pickups and contractor changeovers. Candidates should possess a HR license, solid communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. A construction induction card and medical clearance will also be required.

Industrial Cleaner / Bus Driver
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of site facilities including restrooms, lunchrooms, and common areas.
- Operate a 55-seater bus to transport workers for shift changes and airport pickups.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle at all times.
- Report cleaning and transport issues to the site supervisor.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces according to site hygiene protocols.
- Support daily operations with general housekeeping as needed.
- Follow site safety guidelines and wear provided PPE.
- Conduct pre-start checks on vehicles before use.
- Record transport logs and mileage accurately.
- Coordinate with scheduling teams for timely bus routes.
- Ensure passenger safety during all transfers.
- Handle cleaning supplies with care and manage restocking when needed.
- Dispose of waste safely and in line with environmental procedures.
- Respond to cleaning requests promptly during shifts.
- Assist the team in additional site support tasks when required.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
Completion of high school or equivalent preferred
Experience
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or bus driving is preferred
- FIFO experience considered an advantage
Skills
- Hold a current HR, HC, or PTD driver’s license.
- Clean driving record and experience with large passenger buses.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Capable of lifting and performing physical tasks as needed.
Knowledge
- Familiar with construction site operations and safety practices
- Understanding of vehicle checks and maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of cleaning protocols in industrial or FIFO settings
- Ability to follow shift schedules and route plans
- Awareness of hazard identification and risk reporting
- Familiarity with operating within FIFO camp environments
