Responsibilities
- Pull spikes from rail ties.
- Shovel rocks and gravel on the track.
- Use tools to install rail anchors.
- Lift and carry tools or materials up to 50 lbs.
- Work outside in rain, snow, sun whatever the day is.
- Help out on repair jobs when something breaks.
- Ride out to different worksites.
- Stay alert around trains and equipment.
- Use radios to talk with crew.
- Clean up after jobs.
- Help move materials to and from the site.
- Support other crew members with small jobs.
- Keep track clear of ice or debris.
