Responsibilities

  • Perform structural welding repairs on various heavy equipment components (e.g., frames, booms, buckets, chassis).
  • Fabricate custom parts and components as needed, working from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Conduct modifications and reinforcements to existing equipment to improve performance or extend lifespan.
  • Utilize a range of welding processes including, but not limited to, MIG, TIG, and Stick (SMAW).
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, plasma cutter and torches.
  • Inspect welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians and other team members to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Requirements

  • Relevant welding certifications (Red Seal).
  • Proven 1-2 years experience as a Welder Fabricator, ideally within a heavy equipment, industrial, or manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with metal cutting, shaping, and forming.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Strong proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment components and their structural integrity.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
