Responsibilities

• Run commercial washing machines — includes uniforms, linens, and related fabric items.
• Take care of stain removal manually when needed.
• Follow chemical usage standards, don’t overuse or mix wrong types.
• Handle laundry loading and unloading based on job sheets.
• Make sure washed items are clean and free from damage.
• Report mechanical problems or leaks quickly to the Laundry Master.
• Help clean the laundry area and keep the space organized.
• Work your shift (can include night or weekend shifts).
• Inspect washed garments before passing to next step.
• Check that chemicals and supplies are in stock daily.
• Replace machine filters or small parts if needed.
• Log daily laundry cycles and chemical use.
• Assist co-workers if load increases during shifts.
• Maintain safety rules when working around machines or chemicals.
• Complete basic maintenance tasks when requested.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Diploma in Chemical Engineering (required).

Experience

3 years minimum in an industrial laundry, plant, or similar facility.

Skills

• Able to follow detailed washing steps.
• Familiar with mixing or preparing washing chemicals.
• Can identify damaged valves, pipes, or parts.
• Works without needing constant direction.
• Understands time-based task lists.
• Physically fit to stand, move, and lift during a shift.
