Need full-time Support Workers around Sydney to work with clients under the NDIS. This is a mix of in-home support and some remote tasks too. Pay is based on what you bring to the table experience, qualifications, etc. You’ll help people live more independently. Things like personal care, routines, helping around the house, and being there when needed. Gotta be reliable, kind, and steady. If you’ve worked with people with disabilities or know how to deal with challenging situations, that’s a big plus. A proper cert like Cert III or IV helps. Must be able to get around car is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily activities and personal care.
• Help with meal prep, shopping, cleaning.
• Be a good listener and provide emotional support.
• Follow individual care plans.
• Work with high needs clients when needed.
• Keep notes and communicate with team leads.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or similar preferred.

Experience

• At least 1 year in a support worker or carer role.
• Experience with complex needs or behaviours is useful.

Skills

• Patient and calm under stress.
• Good communicator, written and verbal.
• Works well solo or in a team.
• Can follow plans and instructions.
• Shows up on time and sticks to schedule.

Knowledge

• Knows the basics of NDIS and participant rights.
• Understands what personal care involves.
• Familiar with handling challenging behaviour.
• Knows how to keep things private and safe.
• Has first aid and CPR knowledge.
