Job Title

Senior Accountant.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily tasks related to both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Support internal control frameworks aligned with SOX compliance.
  • Prepare and review journal entries linked to financial reports.
  • Investigate variances and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Understand data flow and functionality of ERP platforms.
  • Supervise the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual closures.
  • Assist in audit preparations and documentation.
  • Improve workflow and efficiency within accounting operations.
  • Train and guide junior accounting staff when required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial integrity.
  • Monitor budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Maintain clear documentation for internal and external review.
  • Participate in financial system improvements and transitions.
  • Communicate financial data clearly to stakeholders.
  • Address any accounting problems and address them effectively.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing
  • Experience managing or guiding finance teams is a plus

Skills

  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Strong numerical and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable with deadlines and multitasking
  • Confident communicator in both written and spoken English
  • Ability to analyze complicated financial data

Knowledge

  • knowledge of ERP programs such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
  • Knowledge of Taiwanese tax laws and financial restrictions.
  • Practical knowledge of SOX compliance and audit preparedness.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting guidelines.
  • Understanding of forecasting, variance analysis, and reconciliation procedures.
