Responsibilities
- Greet and verify all visitors upon arrival
- Monitor access points and authorize entry where appropriate
- Patrol both the inside and the outside during the shift.
- Determine and report any maintenance requirements or safety issues.
- React quickly to crises or tragedies
- When necessary, administer first assistance.
- Utilize monitoring instruments or surveillance systems.
- Respond courteously to questions over the phone or in person.
- Record shift details, incidents, and observations in logs
- Maintain a strong security presence and uphold site policies
- Collaborate with emergency response teams when needed
- Follow detailed post orders and site instructions
- Support other security staff if backup is necessary
- Ensure daily reports are submitted accurately and on time
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
Minimum 1 year experience in a security guard role
Skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Excellent verbal communication
- Conflict resolution skills
- Comfortable using basic tech tools (e.g., phones, tablets)
- Ability to stay focused during quiet periods
Knowledge
- Familiarity with security protocols and procedures
