Safety Officer at NES Fircroft, Singapore
Responsibilities
As the Safety Officer, you’ll spend most of your time on-site, keeping an eye on daily activities. You’ll be:
- Walking the site to spot hazards before they become problems.
- Checking that contractors are following safety guidelines.
- Reviewing method statements and making sure risk assessments are solid.
- Helping investigate any incidents and reporting them to the WSH Manager.
- Coordinating with contractors, sub-contractors, and authorities on safety matters.
- Following up to make sure inspection issues are resolved.
- Promoting safe working habits among workers, not just ticking boxes.
- Handling any other safety-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
A Diploma in Engineering or any field related to Workplace Safety & Health.
Experience
You need to have at least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO). Registration with MOM as a certified WSHO is a must.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Comfortable leading safety discussions on-site.
- Able to communicate clearly with contractors and management.
- Understands Singapore’s safety regulations and how to apply them.
- Good at writing safety reports and follow-up actions.
- Can manage multiple contractors and ensure site compliance.
- Ready to work independently with minimal supervision.
