Job Title
Patient Care Assistant
Responsibilities
- Keep tabs on patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs, reporting to nurses.
- Make patients, families, and visitors feel safe and at ease.
- Stick to infection control rules to keep bugs at bay.
- Pass on patient concerns to nurses or doctors quick-smart.
- Set up patients and rooms for tests or procedures.
- Chat with patients to lift their spirits and keep them safe.
- Flag any patient complaints or issues to the charge nurse.
- Move patients safely with the right gear for their age.
- Keep patient rooms and care areas spotless and tidy.
- Tag along with patients for tests if needed.
- Help with daily tasks like bathing or dressing when required.
- Lend a hand getting patients up or off stretchers.
- Jump into safety measures to cut down on patient risks.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing a must.
- Extra healthcare certs give you a leg up.
Experience
At least 3 years in healthcare or patient care gigs.
