Responsibilities
- Prepare painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint.
- Mix, match, and apply paints and other finishes to various surfaces.
- Calculate costs and negotiate prices.
- Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
Requirements
1-2 years proven experience as a painter.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them.
- Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
- Physical dexterity and stamina. Proficiency in various painting techniques (e.g., brush, roller, spray)
- Knowledge of different types of paints and finishes.
- Ability to mix and match colors accurately.
- Understanding of safety practices when working with paints and chemicals.
- Attention to detail and precision in work.
- Physical stamina and dexterity for extended periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
- Time management skills to meet project deadlines.
