Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue liability letters requested by customers.
- Review all the letter details — names, numbers, and formats — to match what’s been asked.
- Talk to different teams (like CAD, branches, and support units) to move things forward.
- Use internal systems to update the letter’s status and save records.
- Sign off on letters using authorized privileges when required.
- Help organize records, whether physical or digital.
- Coordinate with the mail department so customers get their letters on time.
- Respond to follow-up questions or concerns about issued letters.
- Take care of any issues that pop up and find the right fix.
- Pay attention to deadlines and keep things on track.
- Be the go-to person for letter-related processes within the retention unit.
- Learn as you go—staying updated on banking products, campaigns, or system changes.
- Handle customer data with care and professionalism.
Requirements
Education
Diploma or degree in business, banking, or something closely related
Experience
2+ years in a banking role — ideally something involving documents, service, or internal processing
Skills
- Comfortable with internal systems
- Good with words — both writing and speaking
- Able to stay focused and detail-oriented, even with repetitive tasks
- Know how to work in a team and support others
- Confident in dealing with both internal teams and external customers
Knowledge
- How liability letters work in banking
- Basic banking products and the rules around them
- The steps involved in customer retention processes
