The Navy region hires a partial motor vehicle operator to support the Japan fleet and family preparedness on its clubball site in Yokosuka, Japan. In this role, the selected candidate will pick up food orders from the kitchen and deliver them to the base. The work requires excellent attention to the ability to handle customer interaction with expansion, strong driving skills, and professionalism. This position also includes routine vehicle checks and light support duties like assisting with order prep. Driving will take place in varying weather, including rain and snow. A valid local driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential. Work may include weekends and holidays.

Job Title
Motor Vehicle Operator Delivery Driver
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver food orders from Club Alliance to various locations on base.
- Verify receipts and delivery orders with customers.
- Provide friendly and timely service to all patrons.
- Maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle and report maintenance needs.
- Complete vehicle log sheets and routine inspections.
- Assist with order preparation and occasional kitchen support.
- Follow base driving policies and ensure deliveries are accurate and secure.
- Operate vehicles safely in all weather conditions.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
No formal education required.
Experience
No previous experience necessary but experience with delivery or driving preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License (up to 3500 Kg or 10-passenger vehicle).
- Must meet base driving requirements and pass security checks.
Skills
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Ability to read maps and follow delivery instructions.
- Quick, efficient, and dependable.
- Can operate vans and small electric vehicles safely.
- Familiar with safety practices and daily vehicle inspections.
