Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, blocks, and stones for walls and other structures
• Follow layout plans or instructions from supervisors
• Mix mortar and utilize it appropriately
• Use manual tools like trowels, levels, and hammers
• Cut bricks and blocks as needed
• Keep the work area neat and tidy
• Help load and unload materials
• Work with other laborers and craftsmen on site
• Follow safety requirements at all times
• Report issues or damages to the supervisor
• Support in minor repairs or restoration jobs
• Set up scaffolding or ladders when required
• Work under pressure when deadlines are tight
• Take care of tools and equipment after use

Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

Must have completed Secondary or Intermediate School.

Experience

At least 1 year of work in masonry or construction.

Skills

• Basic bricklaying and block work
• Reading site instructions or drawings
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to carry heavy loads
• Understanding of how to mix mortar
• Teamwork and time management

Knowledge

• Common tools used on construction sites
