Responsibilities
- Check washrooms, lounges, and resident rooms for damage and report issues.
- Replace burnt-out lights around the building as needed.
- Handle small repairs like painting or minor plumbing fixes.
- Pressure wash entrances and outdoor spots when required.
- Shovel snow and salt walkways in winter weather.
- Help external contractors with bigger maintenance tasks.
- Pitch in on small cleaning or repair projects.
- Wrap up all assigned shift duties on time.
- Follow OH&S rules, using safety gear and reporting risks.
- Join in fire drills and safety procedures.
- Work with staff across departments for smooth operations.
- Attend team meetings for policy updates and training.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; facility services training is a bonus.
Experience
1 year of maintenance work, including plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
Skills
- Good judgment for spotting and fixing issues.
- Organized approach to following detailed instructions.
