Machinist I.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical sketches.
  • Perform machine setups to achieve close tolerances and part specifications.
  • Conduct first-piece inspections and in-process checks using precision measuring tools.
  • Document job data, including time, quantities, part inspections, and job reports.
    Follow security and hygiene standards in the field of work.
  • Follow all the company’s guidelines, procedures and operating guidelines.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Technical school training in machining is highly preferred.

Experience

Minimum 1 year of hands-on training or work experience in a machine shop or similar environment.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of CNC operations and manual machining processes.
  • Knowledge of store food, technical paintings and drawings.
  • The work on geometric dimensions and tolerance (GD&T) is desirable.
  • The ability to learn machine layout, tools and production quality checks.
  • Expansion and commitment to accuracy were emphasized.
  • Self -inspired, security conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team.
