Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare chemicals for production as per lab guidelines
• Monitor chemical input levels and restock when needed
• Maintain lab tools, instruments, and testing devices
• Operate forklifts and lifts to move chemicals or equipment
• Support chemical quality testing and recordkeeping
• Organize and track daily chemical supply usage
• Assist with lab safety inspections and housekeeping
• Ensure chemical labeling and storage meet standards
• Calibrate lab equipment at regular intervals
• Report equipment malfunctions or supply issues promptly
• Manage chemical waste handling and disposal under protocol
• Conduct minor troubleshooting on lab systems
• Support continuous improvement in lab processes

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma required
• Vocational or technical training in chemistry, manufacturing, or related field is preferred

Experience

• Previous lab or chemical handling experience preferred but not required
• Forklift certification is an advantage

Skills

• Ability to handle chemicals safely
