ITS Electrician

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintenance and repair electrical systems including HVAC, mechanical layout, traffic signals and communication systems.
  • Diagnosis and solves electrical defects to reduce shutdown and ensure continuous operation.
  • Keep compliance with New Zealand Electrical Standards and Safety Rules.
  • Fully accurate documents for maintenance, repair and inspections.
  • Collaborate with subcontinent, traditions and team members to offer spontaneous electrical solutions.
  • Participate in a watch list to earn instant or hour.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Registered Electrician with current EWRB practicing license.
  • Valid New Zealand Class 1 driver’s licence.

Experience

  • Proven background in industrial or infrastructure electrical systems.
  • Experience with HVAC, civil works, and traffic signal infrastructure is an advantage.
  • Exposure to electronics and basic programming/fault-finding systems preferred.

Skills

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
  • Competence in daily reporting, safety checks, and use of digital systems.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel and occasionally stay overnight as required.
