The beautiful hands at work do things like trimming the hedges, filling water, planting and keeping the gardens in good shape. If you have spent time or worked in a garden with irrigation systems, it’s a bonus. You need to be comfortable exercising, especially in the summer, and to find out how to detect the plants when needed.

Responsibilities
- Water plants and keep them healthy.
- Trim hedges and cut grass.
- When necessary, tidy up the space and pull weeds.
- Install irrigation systems and inspect them.
- Where necessary, move fertilizer, mulch, or soil.
- Identify and report pests or plant diseases.
- Help with planting and landscaping jobs.
- Use basic garden tools like shears and rakes.
- Keep the space clean after work is done.
- Work with others on bigger garden projects.
- Handle heat and long hours outdoors.
- Know what’s safe to use on different plants.
- Follow instructions and take notes if needed.
- Be on time and ready to work each day.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
No degree is needed. If you’ve taken a short course in gardening or horticulture, that’s great—but not required.
Experience
If you’ve done this kind of work before, even for a few months, mention it. It helps.
Skills
- Can use gardening tools safely.
- Comfortable outdoors for long hours.
- Knows a bit about soil, plants, and pests.
- Can take instructions and work with a team.
- Pays attention to the small stuff.
- Physically fit enough for basic lifting and bending.
Knowledge
- Understands what local plants need
- Knows when and how much to water
