Job Title
Forklift Driver
Responsibilities
- Utilize forklift equipment to move, load, and unload cargo.
- Perform equipment inspections both before to and following usage.
- Help warehouse employees arrange and store goods.
- Observe all safety precautions and on-site procedures.
- Document daily movements and maintain logs accurately.
- Move pallets and containers without causing damage to products or racking.
- Communicate with team members for task coordination.
- Help with periodic inventory checks.
- Participate in training sessions and toolbox talks.
- Spot and report any operational issues or hazards.
- Support warehouse activities during peak hours.
- Ensure that forklift paths are clear and safe.
- Understand basic layout maps for storage and delivery zones.
- Handle occasional lifting of goods when necessary.
- Manage deadlines without compromising on safety.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
At least 2 years of experience operating forklifts in warehouse or factory settings
Skills
- Safe handling of warehouse equipment
- Communication and time management
- Attention to detail while transporting materials
- Ability to work under pressure
- Coordination with warehouse and logistics teams
- Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends if needed
