Job Title
Farm Worker – Shellfish.
Responsibilities
- Shellfish beds including oysters and clams for plant, maintenance and crop.
- Work on the shellfish beds and float of bubble system units.
- Help install pipes, hang the length and maintain bed structures.
- Copy agricultural equipment such as pallet contacts, fork trucks and small boats.
- Handle general maintenance, cleanup and website organization tasks.
- Support the drag boat operations and help with long preparation.
- Complete required paperwork and logs for daily operations.
- Comply with all safety standards and company policies.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
No formal education requirements specified.
Experience
Minimum of 6 months experience in construction, farming, manufacturing, or related physical labor fields.
Skills
- The ability to perform external physical functions under variable weather conditions.
- Informal in working in tidal beds, aquatic environment and boats.
- Self -inspired and able to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
- Take into account the strong sense and expansion of responsibility.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of basic agricultural equipment and marine equipment.
- Understanding shellfish operations (favorite, but not necessary).
- Knowledge of security procedures and best practices in manual work settings.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License preferred.
- Prior boat operator experience/license is a plus.
