Job Title

Farm Worker – Shellfish.

Responsibilities

  • Shellfish beds including oysters and clams for plant, maintenance and crop.
  • Work on the shellfish beds and float of bubble system units.
  • Help install pipes, hang the length and maintain bed structures.
  • Copy agricultural equipment such as pallet contacts, fork trucks and small boats.
  • Handle general maintenance, cleanup and website organization tasks.
  • Support the drag boat operations and help with long preparation.
  • Complete required paperwork and logs for daily operations.
  • Comply with all safety standards and company policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

No formal education requirements specified.

Experience

Minimum of 6 months experience in construction, farming, manufacturing, or related physical labor fields.

Skills

  • The ability to perform external physical functions under variable weather conditions.
  • Informal in working in tidal beds, aquatic environment and boats.
  • Self -inspired and able to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Take into account the strong sense and expansion of responsibility.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of basic agricultural equipment and marine equipment.
  • Understanding shellfish operations (favorite, but not necessary).
  • Knowledge of security procedures and best practices in manual work settings.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Driver’s License preferred.
  • Prior boat operator experience/license is a plus.
