Job Title

Fabricator/Welder

Responsibilities

• Complete welding and manufacturing jobs utilizing TIG and MIG methods
• Read and interpret structural and technical manufacturing drawings
• Prepare raw materials by cleaning, measuring, and cutting metal
• Operate hand tools, flame torches, and machine cutters for component shaping
• Assemble and link metal pieces using welding or bolting
• Inspect welded joints to verify adequate penetration and alignment
• Grind, file, or smooth final welds as needed
• Maintain equipment and report any defects or maintenance needs
• Follow all workplace safety laws and PPE requirements
• Contribute to production timelines by completing tasks on schedule
• Assist with the installation of fabricated structures when required
• Work closely with supervisors and project leads to satisfy build standards
• Keep work environments orderly and free from safety risks
• Handle various activities and alter priorities as projects evolve

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

• Completion of a trade qualification or equivalent in welding or fabrication

Experience

• Skilled in TIG and MIG welding methods
• Competent in reading technical fabrication schematics

Knowledge
