Responsibilities

• Operate a 14-tonne rubber-wheeled excavator daily as part of an active drainage team.

• Work on trenching, installing large pipelines, and placing culverts across various project sites.

• Use a 360-degree tilt hitch system confidently during excavation tasks.

• Coordinate with other site workers and follow clear communication while on the job.

• Assist in the upkeep and basic maintenance of the assigned machinery.

• Maintain safe work practices and follow site-specific safety protocols at all times.

• Be adaptable to different tasks based on site progress and crew needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

• No diploma or degree required.

• Must hold a valid WTR (Wheels, Tracks, Rollers) endorsement.

• Class 2 or Class 4 licence is considered a strong advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience operating excavators.

• Proven work history using wheeled diggers, especially with tilt hitch attachments.

• Familiarity with the Engcon tilt system is highly desirable.
