You’ll take charge of your dig unit, work closely with truck operators, and use selective mining techniques to help us meet our ore quality and production targets.This is a FIFO role from Perth or DIDO from the Pilbara, running on an 8/6 and 7/7 day and night shift roster.

Job Title

Production Excavator Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate 200T+ excavators (CAT 6020 or similar) in a hard rock, open-cut mining environment
• Maintain targeted dig rates and ore hygiene while following selective mining methods
• Manage dump truck cycles effectively and safely
• Collaborate with the crew, communicate clearly, and contribute to team success
• Participate in safe work practices and site safety protocols at all times
• Support other equipment operations during hot seating or when needed

Requirements and Qualifications

Licensing & Compliance

• WA HR driver’s licence (preferred)
• Must pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening
• Must provide National Police Clearance and right to work in Australia

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience operating large-scale production excavators (200T+), ideally CAT 6020
• Familiarity with ore face-up and contamination avoidance
• Experience operating track dozers, graders, and loaders is an advantage
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts including day/night rotation
