Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain tools, machines, and safety devices effectively.
- Execute tasks like painting, drywall repair, replacing bulbs and filters, and cleaning work areas.
- Conduct minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Maintain all landscape systems including sprinkler repairs.
- Support team goals and maintain positive relations with staff and guests.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
- Some general maintenance or hotel engineering experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience required.
Skills
- The ability to use hand equipment, test equipment, and repair kits.
- Basic computer knowledge and comfort when using maintenance software.
- Good communication and professional courtesy.
- The ability to lift, move, or push up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to safety and hygiene.
Knowledge
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing facilities.
- Knowledge of general construction and painting.
- Security and lockout/tagout processes.
- Maintenance code and compliance with the company’s standards. The ability to use hand equipment, test equipment, and repair kits.
- Basic computer knowledge and comfort when using maintenance software.
