Electrician III.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled electrical maintenance and repair work across research facilities.
- Install and maintain motors, motor controllers, coils, fixtures, and electrical systems.
- Assist with electronics maintenance in HVAC systems.
- Replace and rewire outdated or faulty electrical equipment.
- Modify circuits and infrastructure to meet changing research requirements.
- Comply with safety protocols and report unsafe practices or equipment.
- Carry out additional maintenance duties as assigned.
- Occasionally work irregular hours and during inclement weather.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or electrical certification is preferred but not explicitly required.
Experience
- Experience in electrical maintenance and installations is necessary.
- Experience in agricultural, research, or industrial facilities is preferred.
Skills
- Electrical installations and diagnosis skills.
