Interior Health Authority
IInterior Health is seeking an Electrician ready to utilize their knowledge and physical ability to work in a hands on environment, providing insight and direction to both hospital sites being Castlegar and Grand Forks, BC. You’ll be based in Castlegar or Grand Forks (depending on where you live), but will be traveling back and forth between the two as required. This is no weeknight or Monday-to-Friday gig. It’s a Monday through Wednesday one, but everyone is getting a 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. schedule. Also, you’re on an on-call rotation, so you need to be flexible with your time. It’s a full-time position (and I mean full-time) that’s perfect for someone who’s organized, proactive and can handle a little bit of travel here and there. To tackle this, you’ll have to be a certified electrician in British Columbia. You should be confident managing your own projects, making repairs, and performing installations without constant supervision. Since you’ll be holding the permit for both hospital sites, understanding the rules, codes, and safety procedures is a must. If you like doing something a little different each day and enjoy working in hospital environments, this might be a great fit for you.
