Depending on experience, the monthly salary ranges from SAR 4,000 to 6,500. This position calls for manual labour in electrical maintenance that includes motors, power systems, and control panels. Job Title

Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance tasks at the desalination facility
• Troubleshoot power faults and issues with control systems
• Check and maintain motors, panels, and electrical distribution setups
• Support daily operations, including system startups and shutdowns
• Follow safety procedures and flag any hazards right away
• Log maintenance work and track usage of spares and materials
• Coordinate with operators and other technical teams on site
• Read wiring diagrams and fix equipment as per technical specs
• Help with testing, calibration, and fault analysis when needed
• Make sure the plant’s electrical systems stay within safe and efficient limits

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

• Technical diploma or certificate in electrical engineering
• Secondary school education must be completed

Experience

• 1–6 years of electrical maintenance work
• Experience in a desalination plant or heavy industry is preferred

Skills

• Familiar with LV and MV electrical systems
• Comfortable working with VFDs and PLCs
• Able to read technical drawings
• Strong troubleshooting and repair knowledge
• Can use maintenance tracking software

Knowledge

• Basic understanding of SWRO technology is helpful
• Familiar with safety standards like NEC or IEC
• Knows how to work safely in a live plant environment
• Understands how control panels and power networks operate
• Can spot issues early and recommend preventive action
