Responsibilities

  • Load up office supplies, like desks or toner, and deliver them across Saskatoon.
  • Check the truck before heading out, catching things like worn wipers.
  • Use a dolly to move heavy items, up to 70 pounds, into customer offices.
  • Get signatures on delivery slips and handle any product returns.
  • Keep delivery records neat for the depot’s tracking system.
  • Drive safely through Saskatoon’s winter snow or summer traffic on 8th Street.
  • Chat with customers, maybe helping a teacher sort out a paper order.
  • Clean the truck daily to keep it sharp and professional.
  • Work alone to hit tight schedules, staying on top of routes.
  • Pass on any customer complaints to the supervisor for quick fixes.

Requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience

Minimum one year driving a 16 ft. or longer straight truck.

Skills

  • Valid driver’s license with no major violations.
  • Able to lift 70 pounds or use a dolly for heavy loads.
  • Friendly and clear when talking to customers.
  • Good at navigating Saskatoon, from downtown to Stonebridge.
