Driver Filler Elgas Limited

Elgas Limited is currently looking for a hardworking, dependable driver to join their Silverdale based team.

Responsibilities

• Your working time will be Monday to Friday starting around 6.30 am, finishing no later than 5 pm.
• On call and rostered Saturdays are required.
• Role involves delivering and filling LPG gas cylinders to homes and businesses across the region.
• You’ll be interacting with customers face-to-face, so you might need to answer questions or help them out.
• As you’ll be handling dangerous goods, attention to detail with a strong commitment to health and safety is super important.

Requirements

• Dangerous Goods licence and LPG filling experience (or be willing to undergo training)
• You have a clean Class 2 licence with at least 12 months driving experience (in Class 2) and can drive manual transmission and you have previous experience delivering goods.
• You’ll need Class 2 driving experience and a clean criminal history.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

• Be physically fit, and able to lift heavy items when doing deliveries.
• Flexible and adaptable with a strong focus on customer service.
• Have good knowledge of the region.
• You are able to use handheld computer delivery equipment.
• A proactive approach and responsibility towards Health and Safety.
• Satisfactorily pass background checks such as: Criminal & ACC history, medical and Drug & Alcohol screening.
• Be a team player with a can-do attitude and the flexibility to meet the demands of the operations.
