Job Title

Full-Time Residential Disability Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Helping residents with meals, dressing, and personal care
• Supporting daily routines and home tasks
• Assisting with community trips and appointments
• Administering medication if required
• Following care plans and reporting any changes
• Being part of an overnight/on-call shift roster

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

• No degree required.
• NZQA healthcare training is a plus.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare is preferred
• 1+ year of relevant work is helpful but not mandatory

Skills

• Reliable and patient when working with others.
• Comfortable with personal care duties.
• Able to follow directions and work without much supervision.
• Good listener and communicator.
• Flexible with your schedule.

Knowledge

• Understanding of disability care.
• Familiar with basic hygiene and home safety.
• Know how to follow a care plan.
• Awareness of cultural needs and respectful interaction.
• Some first aid knowledge is a bonus.
