Job Title

Delivery Driver (Temporary).

Responsibilities

  • Load tires onto the delivery vehicle in a safe and organized manner.
  • Unload products at customer sites and ensure accurate handovers.
  • Drive a 16-foot pickup truck while adhering to all road safety rules.
  • Handle delivery paperwork and shipping documentation properly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the delivery vehicle.
  • Follow delivery schedules and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Communicate with dispatch and clients in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Report any delivery issues or vehicle concerns to the supervisor.
  • Comply with safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
  • Assist with warehouse support tasks if needed during slower hours.
  • Ensure tire inventory is protected from damage during transport.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

  • Experience driving a delivery vehicle, especially 16-foot trucks.
  • Previous work in delivery or logistics is an asset.

Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 to 70 pounds repeatedly.
  • Basic knowledge of road safety and local delivery routes.
  • Strong time management and organizational habits.
  • Effective communication and a polite customer approach.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Knowledge

  • Vehicle safety checks and minor issue reporting.
  • Proper handling of shipping and delivery forms.
  • Basic mechanical awareness helpful but not required.
  • Adherence to workplace health and safety standards.
  • Tire handling procedures or familiarity is a bonus.
