A/C Technician.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day maintenance of the hotel’s air conditioning and refrigeration units.
• Troubleshoot faults in chillers, walk-in freezers, coolers, and fan coil units
• Conduct regular checks and cleaning of AHUs and filters.
• Monitor system performance and keep records of refrigerant levels.
• Respond to urgent repair requests across departments.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC systems.
• Identify worn-out components and coordinate with stores for replacements.
• Maintain ice machines and ensure defrost cycles are functioning correctly.
• Assist with major overhauls and system upgrades when required.
• Cooperate with fellow engineers on identifying root causes of issues.
• Ensure safety standards and environmental guidelines are strictly followed.
• Detect any refrigerant leaks and take corrective actions without delay.
• Avoid unnecessary release of CFC gases into the environment.
• Support set-up and breakdown of equipment during events when needed.
• Follow local technical codes and health and safety rules at all times.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Technical diploma or vocational training in refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical maintenance

Experience

2+ years in a similar maintenance or technician role, ideally in hospitality or commercial buildings

Skills

• Ability to read system diagrams and interpret service manuals.
• Competent in operating HVAC diagnostic tools.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
