Responsibilities
- Drive buses safely on assigned routes and schedules.
- Provide friendly, professional service to passengers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Report vehicle faults or issues to depot supervisors promptly.
- Manage passenger inquiries and ensure a smooth journey.
- Handle ticketing and fare collection accurately.
- Follow NSW traffic and transport safety regulations.
- Work split shifts to cover peak morning and afternoon routes.
- Operate buses during weekends or public holidays as needed.
- Maintain a clean and tidy bus interior daily.
- Assist with school and charter service runs.
- Complete driving logs and paperwork accurately.
- Support depot staff during busy periods or special events.
- Stay updated on route changes and service updates.
- Promote a safe and welcoming environment for passengers.
Requirements
Education
- Medium Rigid or above driver’s license required.
- NSW Driver Authority desirable.
Experience
1–2 years in heavy vehicle or bus driving preferred.
Skills
- Safe and confident bus driving in busy areas.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage split shifts and flexible hours.
