Responsibilities
- Deliver liquid gas products to customer locations and Air Liquide facilities
- Operate gas tankers safely in accordance with company and national road regulations
- Load and unload products following standard operating procedures
- Conduct daily inspections of vehicles and maintain logs
- Perform minor troubleshooting on trucks and trailers as needed
- Follow safety protocols and report incidents or near-misses immediately
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and proper maintenance
- Complete all required delivery documentation accurately
- Use onboard computers (OBC) or hard copy delivery notes depending on customer requirements
- Communicate with dispatchers about delays, customer site issues, or route changes
- Monitor loading and unloading operations for safe and efficient transfer
- Verify that delivery sites meet safety requirements before proceeding
- Provide professional service and maintain customer satisfaction
- Follow time limits on daily driving and on-duty hours
- Report facility or equipment issues promptly to supervisors
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
Minimum high school education preferred
Experience
- At least 5 years of driving experience with heavy vehicles
- Previous experience handling hazardous or industrial materials is a plus
Skills
- Excellent driving and navigation skills
- Attention to detail in documentation and delivery tasks
- Strong communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and upkeep
Knowledge
- Familiarity with Singapore’s transport regulations and driving laws
- Understanding of hazardous material handling and safety standards
- Experience using onboard tracking or delivery systems
- Knowledge of ISO and quality control procedures
- Awareness of road safety and fatigue management practices
