They are currently seeking a Senior Driver to support the delivery of the Sanying Metro in Taiwan. This will include operating Rail Vehicles throughout the network during constriction, testing and commissioning phases of the project. This is fixed-term contractor role initially based out of their Taipei office then transitioning to the Sanying Depot when the operation of rail vehicles commences.
Responsibilities
- Operating Rail vehicles during the construction phase, operating in the Depot Area and on the Mainline
- Operates and maintain vehicles in alignment with the Work, Health and Safety requirements of the company and the project
- Operates and maintain vehicles in accordance with all operating rules, procedures and scheduled running times including manual mode and automatic mode.
- Conducts inspection of assigned rail equipment in accordance with rules and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to operate two-way radio system in accordance with operating rules and procedures to ensure constant contact and communication with Control Center
- Maintains continuous safety awareness and focus on railway and rail conditions during operation of vehicles.
- Electronically and manually operates switches and other systems when necessary.
- Ability to operate Rail Vehicles under instruction from a Test Lead or the Control Center for safe movement and achievement test objectives
- Notifies the Control Center of any emergency, abnormal or unsafe conditions/situations.
- Communicates to customers and the Control Center providing appropriate information regarding emergency evacuation and other emergency situations.
- Attends required training courses required for Rail Vehicle operation under construction phase.
- Completes forms and paperwork such as accident/incident reports and defect cards as required.
Requirements
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in the Rail industry with demonstrated capability.

- The candidate also needs to be willing to travel as required by the project.
