Job Title

Packaging Operator

Responsibilities

  • Operate packaging machines and make sure everything runs smoothly
  • Help assemble and disassemble equipment when batches change
  • Run tests before, during, and after production
  • Take the lead when the Technician or Unit Head is away
  • Keep detailed paperwork and ensure all required records are filled
  • Report equipment issues and assist with routine checks
  • Stay in line with GMP rules and safety standards
  • Join in improvement meetings and follow through on team plans

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Must have a Secondary V diploma or equivalent

Experience

Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, preferably in pharma or manufacturing

Skills

  • Can handle repetitive tasks with focus
  • Knows how to work with machines
  • Comfortable stepping into a leadership role when needed
  • Clear communicator
  • Able to spot issues before they become problems
  • Great team attitude

Knowledge

  • Good understanding of GMP procedures
  • Familiar with production documentation
  • Knows how to use metric system
  • Some basic mechanical troubleshooting
  • Understands the importance of health and safety
  • Can identify color variations and has steady hands
