Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day repairs that involve carpentry, painting, or both.
- Respond to maintenance calls when something breaks or needs a touch-up.
- Help keep rooms, hallways, and public spaces in good shape.
- Work with engineering and housekeeping to sort out minor repairs fast.
- Stick to safety rules and follow procedures when using tools and equipment.
- Occasionally help with small renovation or repair projects.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
No formal degree needed. Training or certification in a trade is helpful.
Experience
At least 2 years working in a hotel or 4 years in a commercial property doing hands-on maintenance.
Skills
- Can paint walls, fix drywall, handle tools with care.
- Knows how to measure, saw, drill, and follow repair instructions.
- Understands the difference between a quick fix and a proper repair.
- Good at working with others and staying calm under pressure.
