Electrician
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems on job sites.
- Run wiring and do fit-outs in both new builds and existing spaces.
- Troubleshoot faults without needing to be told twice.
- Make sure the work meets code and site rules.
- Stick to site safety rules and handle tools with care.
- Talk with site managers or clients when needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
EWRB registration and electrical license required in New Zealand
Experience
At least 2 years working as a licensed electrician locally
Skills
- Wiring and switchboard work
- Reading diagrams and layout plans
- Working solo or in a small team
- Staying organised on fast-moving sites
- Clear communication and basic tech skills
Knowledge
- Local safety regs and electrical standards
- Risk and hazard management
- General tool and testing gear usage
- Compliance paperwork basics
- Common fault scenarios and fixes
