Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical systems on job sites.
• Run wiring and do fit-outs in both new builds and existing spaces.
• Troubleshoot faults without needing to be told twice.
• Make sure the work meets code and site rules.
• Stick to site safety rules and handle tools with care.
• Talk with site managers or clients when needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

EWRB registration and electrical license required in New Zealand

Experience

At least 2 years working as a licensed electrician locally

Skills

• Wiring and switchboard work
• Reading diagrams and layout plans
• Working solo or in a small team
• Staying organised on fast-moving sites
• Clear communication and basic tech skills

Knowledge

• Local safety regs and electrical standards
• Risk and hazard management
• General tool and testing gear usage
• Compliance paperwork basics
• Common fault scenarios and fixes
