Looking for someone dependable to take on a full-time Police Officer role with Listuguj Police Department in Pointe-À-la-Croix, Quebec. You’ll be out in the community, handling calls, talking to people, keeping things calm. Day and night shifts. You’ll deal with different situations – some routine, some not. Not a desk job. Must be alert, physically fit, good under pressure. If you’ve got police or security experience, that’s great. Training in law enforcement is a bonus. Need someone who’s steady, not afraid to speak to folks, and knows how to stay calm when things heat up.

Responsibilities
- Patrol the area in vehicle or on foot.
- Respond to calls, disturbances, emergencies.
- Write reports, document incidents.
- Collect evidence if needed.
- Talk to people, calm down situations.
- Work with community services.
- Go to court if required.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
- No degree required.
- Training in policing preferred.
Experience
- Experience in law enforcement helps.
- Security or military also considered.
- No experience? You’ll still be looked at if you’re the right fit.
Skills
- Calm in tense situations.
- Fit and ready to act.
- Clear when talking or writing.
- Can work alone or with others.
- Good at dealing with people.
Knowledge
- Knows Canadian law basics.
- Understands what police work involves.
- Knows how to collect and store evidence.
- Knows how to fill out reports right.
- Some knowledge of Indigenous communities helps.
